Depending on the thickness of the layer leak of the gas cylinder must be pressed like a madman, the device needs then five to ten (or even more) seconds until display comes. So you can test with a gas cylinder whose level is known. The results are unfortunately not reproducible and certainly not predictable, because a bottle with an unknown level is not clever measurable. For the device in practice is completely unusable.
