Video at Amazon.com View for recording and streaming video, the Live Gamer Portable AVerMedia is flexible. Like many other cards also it can be connected via USB 2.0 to a computer where you can then record video from 480i to 1080p at 30 frames up to the second or stream. Recordings can thereby achieve a bit rate of up to 60 Mbit / s, stream of 20 Mbit / s (upload a corresponding line provided, of course).

About the free downloadable software RecCentral all aspects of access are set and controlled. Here you can also optionally be admixed with an audio commentary by a computer microphone. Distance allows RecCentral to stream directly to different platforms like Twitch, XSplit and YouTube.

A Mac version of the software is also available recently.

Through two things, this product is for me of many competitive products from:

1. PC-Free Mode
The Live Gamer Portable can be used without a PC. The recordings are then s written with 720p or 1080p with up to 16 Mbit / to an SD memory card. The recording continues until the memory card is full. It shall be split into a maximum of 4 GB files. In the highest quality level is about 35 minutes per 4-GB file. Since the necessary power via USB is based, even mobile use an external battery is possible.

2. DirectShow driver
Thanks to the support of DirectShow by using the "Stream Engine" of AVerMedia I can use the Live Gamer Portable eg with OBS or ManyCam stream and thus more flexible.

To ensure that this device provides me the flexibility that I was looking for.
