Very atmospheric debut

Already a while ago I for the first time their version of Mike Batts "The Closest Thing To Crazy" is one that he has what I assumed, given the typical string arrangements, even without his voice as a background, probably this time produced.
What I liked was the voice, because Katie Melua has this slight Eastern European accent and slight rubbing (like Milla), who comes across simply gorgeous melancholy. Meanwhile, I've been listening to more of her and am not one hundred percent convinced - Mike Batt puts stop unfortunately always times like too much reverb in the voice, so even with her - but there are some really nice pieces on their CD "Call Off The Search ". Besides the already mentioned "The Closest Thing To Crazy" I am very pleased with iher interpretation of Jeff Buckley's "Lilac Wine" and the gentle Barstimmung who receives the disc beautifully throughout upright.
