The Overlock arrived quickly and well packaged to. By enclosed mini cones with white yarn she was already threaded. Compared to most other machines in this price range and designed including the threading easier. Especially the part I hate the bobbin thread is thanks Fädelhilfe safely 3 times as fast as before. Threading is similar to Bernina, although where the manual is a bit more comprehensive and better.
So far I have the Overlock on various materials (thicker rope, thin jersey, net fabric, lace and normal Baumwollwebstoffe) tried and very thin materials have caused a few problems. Even pitted substances are transported without mosquitoes and sewn without thread cracks. Only when I had to cheat a little Slinkyjersey until I got the usual beautiful seams.
What is certainly getting used to, is the thread tree, although it can easily be rotated relative, but when sewing for beautiful results actually exactly transversely must be seated at the seam. Also that during threading of the foot must be lifted (is mentioned several times in the manual and is really important) is to be absolutely necessary to engage the threads correctly in one another. Otherwise, the lower thread breaks quickly and the seam is broken!
What I find a bit of a shame is that you actually need the many special feet. Rolled hem foot rolled hem without the looks really bad. Without Rüschenfuß unfortunately rüscht nothing. Overall, the Medion machine was even a more powerful Rüscher, there is the weak point unfortunately in all three tested materials (cotton, taffeta, lining fabric) a little bit at the Gritzner.
So overall a very solid little machine, I have already recommended other and love and use a lot!
