By buying this book, I suspected that I would not find the equivalent of the pen of Jane Austen ... but frankly I did not expect to be so disappointed. While Jane Austen took advantage of his novels to paint English society and its mores with accuracy and humor, Elizabeth Ashton is confined to talking about fashion and even outright plagiarize the scene of the leak Lydia Pride and Prejudice. The sisters are unbearable, especially the eldest Letty and seem unworthy of their parents. The love story between Camilla and Wytton is sudden and far-fetched. Finally, I was surprised to see Colonel Fitzwilliam described as a sort of cantankerous reactionary macho while in the Jane Austen novel, he made a good impression to Lizzie. In short, even for fans of Austen (and I would say especially for fans!), I do not recommend it!
