In the 2D area, it has a very sharp and detailed image, which one gets hardly offer in this price range, and that took the cake in various tests. (Incl. 50p mode !!)
But the 3D mode incl. Conversion lens is rather seen as a gimmick in which you sometimes like what short may turn out fun with, but a self-production à la IMAX is not so in it.
The 3D images are only in half the HD resolution and the Side by Side method. In addition, and this is the most disturbing, they have a thick black border on all 4 sides of the TV to see the picture (and it did not work !!!) You also have to decide whether you want to film in 2 or 3D beforehand, because the Result can not spend more different. If you want something from a 2D and 3D version cut create, you stick on the lens screwing on and off until your fingers bleed ...
The lens must be reset after each screwing with 3 adjustment screws. And you already noticed the inaccuracy. If you press a little harder on the wheel, have the image in the monitor shifts (without anyone really turned on the wheel). Likewise, I have the impression that the adjustment already shifts when you are wearing them with your bare hands while walking with it. The 3D effect lasts quite well, as long as one is in a range of about 1 -2 meters in front of the camera. All that is further away, is only 2D. In addition, the intent swallows much light. In sunlight, or appropriate lighting must be ensured.
Conclusion:
Those looking for a very good 2D Full HD camera with 50p mode, here is well served (5 star!) And, in addition to gag for a Ah "and Oh 'turn times short scenes in 3D. Because, unlike the newer models of Panasonic, here the intent is still free here. While in the current Cams still 299, - will have in addition for Impact Assessment (EIA) ...
Anyone looking for a good 3D camcorder with HD picture in 3D, unfortunately have to wait for news from Sony or JVC ... (or refurbished to a 3D concept of Panasonic)
