Excerpt from my blog "abrrracadabra.canalblog.com" My daughter asked me this book, having read a review in a magazine. It has devoured me and said "it was too good mom!". I said I would try, and it's true, though, it's too good! The compliment of Eoin Colfer, on the cover, it was already compelling enough for a fan of Artemis Fowl. Then, from the first pages, it is completely caught up in the action, you can not breathe ... until the end of the prologue! The tone is set, then alternates between action and quieter moments but all is exciting. The young hero is very endearing, you soon figure out why he was chosen and even if the suspense is not unbearable for an adult, the story is very good, without being "free" violent. I read with pleasure the Volume 2, hoping to learn more about the secondary characters around Connor. Interesting information, Volume 1 ends, it can be read as a whole, even if the volume 2 will certainly continue Connor's adventures with another mission.
