The good news: The songs can be listen all! Is quite addictive.
A small adjustment period (2-4 Listen-) is necessary, but after that the album would go up and down to hear you.
That was the case of the previous album "Bringer of Light" that is not 100% the case.
However, I must say that the song "Pride" and "The Longest Day of My Life" from "Bringer of Light" remain ungetoppt ("Everlasting" from the new album is very close to it ..).
From the "quality" here the songs on the new album are better overall.
"Under an ancient sun" reminds very strongly of "Pride", but draws the "short straw".
"This is who we are," reminds me of Bon Jovi (;-) "Ground Zero", we stay strong, get going, do not lose the courage, blah blah ...)
Although failed here and there a bit too symphonic, but in my opinion not nearly as bad as the known bands of this style (I would like to call no band name .....).
