The Hundred Years War as if you were there with famous actors (Edward III, the Black Prince, Bertrand du Guesclin ...) and not so famous (the Captal Buch, Robert Knowles, ...). Reading is very nice. G. Minois use widely enough humor to make his story more alive. He dares few anachronisms by stating for example that "the arc is the Kalashnikov medieval" ... From there to bring Robin Hood bin Laden, there is only one step.
