I opted for the Manduca after my midwife had me on loan for a few days. We had after the birth of our son, however, a couple of days with the wearing wait, since the Manduca is suitable only for children over 3.5 kilos. Application of the carrier is quite a hassle, especially if, like me is somewhat smaller (1.60 m). The baby must be placed to create in the stretcher and placed on the thighs - sticking with my son for a couple of weeks her head on her knees out, so I had to support the head in addition with the help of a pillow. The hands you need namely both to attach the snaps for the seat reducer. That the snaps are so stiff, makes sense, too - after all, the small boobs need to be held thereby. As for the position of the buttons, I was only a little uncertain. There are two settings for the snaps of the new born insert and is in the enclosed instructions, nothing. Proper adjustment is, in the baby's head is well supported - so you have to try. My Little has nose always buried while wearing my sweater that I had initially feared he might suffocate. That did not happen. :-) Also that the black wearing hair and lint attracts like a magnet, true, of course (we have two cats). One can throw in the washing machine the carrier but easy. As impatient person I just knew that a baby sling is not for me and for the Manduca is a real alternative. The baby is sitting ergonomically correct in the stretcher and feels comfortable. When the little one cries because he needs physical closeness, setting it in the Manduca and can walk anyway, errands (times just to post or to the pharmacy) or light household chores do. You can go shopping and does not take more space than during pregnancy, because you have to push any stroller through the aisles. The stroller we have not used the way the Manduca. Our child has fallen asleep in the Manduca for at least ten minutes. :-)
Overall, I've been buying despite the high purchase price no regrets and would always resort to Manduca.
