The ceramic knife sharpener fulfills its purpose. The surface is irregular, fluted about 90 degrees, for whatever reason. Otherwise, there are slight dents, the rod is not uniformly round. The grinding pattern: For a ceramic rod that carries mediocre from what can be good or bad. Always Depends on what state has the knife to be sharpened. For me to the complete satisfaction because the result is sauscharf. More, it need not be. Well maintained knives are so Ratz Fatz sharp again. The booklet has a good grip and angular preventing (away) roles. May be had 5cm longer (dream). Given the quite reasonable price (for a 10 ner) completely ok, super. Buy recommendation! Edit: Today 17/05/2015 slipped me this bar only about 10 cm in height on my slate tabletop out of hand .... and stopped smoothly on notebook. Too Bad. Was that what made me and my knives sharp. A new must be found. This time I'm going to invest a few more Euros? No for the price of a 10 ner I take the once happy and fit better in the future.
