2 small regret only for materials but are really minor:
- I would have loved to have an analog audio input to be able to switch between the source "PC" and other equipment.
- I really find it a pity that Asus has put as much care into the design of his device, making it pretty, but lets it down by putting the headset and microphone jacks facade.Du in fact, impossible to hide the cables. So I had to leave the card in the office.
So good map, but on the drivers, I would be much more reserved. And this is the reason the stars and less, because they are quite capricious apparently.
When you first install the card, everything went well. The drivers are installed. But the Asus drivers apparently incompatible with VLC, because for most of my FLAC, I had stuttering during the first seconds.
But the most troublesome problem is that since I reinstalled Windows, not reinstall drivers said.
I tried a dozen times, by plugging the card when they wonder, or by plugging it before, nothing works. He said the card is not connected, and abandons the installation.
I still sound, as Windows detects and installs default drivers.
But suddenly I lose some features.
Like the fact that normally the card stores the output used. Without the asus drivers, the output will unlock and each time the PC starts it on the helmet. Since I use the speakers mostly, I am obliged to switch the output every time. It's still less convenient.
I also loses theartre home software for the use of the equalizer and other advanced settings since it will not install without ASUS drivers.
However I win a point in not using the ASUS drivers: With the default windows drivers, I have no problem with plops read by VLC ...
So very good card, but my home is amputated because of some features that drivers install only when they want to.
