I been playing the game since release day and have invested many hours.
Pro:
- Very good graphics (distances are displayed visually great)
- Super feel and very good control (liquid even at high speed and more vehicles on the track)
- Grandiose Weather System (Q1 sun, rain Q2, Q3 no rain but wet track ..... very good!)
- The levels of difficulty can be good on their own ability to adapt (individual settings in the steps)
- Very nice career (interviews, press conference, Agent ...... cool!)
- Great long-term motivation (driving aids and opponent AI is high and the game is a real chunk)
- Original licenses
- Top Fuel Simulation (differences in full and some serious refueling different while doing the Boliden ...... excellent)
- Tire simulation (allows many tactical possibilities eg tire-friendly driving possible to stay on a few laps outdoors)
- Route changes noticeably during the race weekend (ideal line is much faster through the rubber on the track)
- Night race and final race (sunset) are very well implemented
Cons:
- Weak damage model (tire blows, but never separates from the rim front wing is broken, but the chassis deformations are virtually non-existent .... significantly improved.)
- Graphics in the box is relatively modest (see mechanic simply bad)
- Catastrophic presentation in the rear view mirror (not usable, C64 times ..... lousy!)
- The career feature "Live the Life" is clearly improvable and Upgradable
- Some bugs still present (why no visible engine Platzer ?, rain in the tunnel of Monte Carlo, no sector 3 time in the pit lane)
- Lack of telemetry data
F-1 2010 is a very good racing game. I do not have Racer played captivates me for months. I am far away in the 4th season and still the title. If you want quick results could be wrong with this game. I dagegebn love me purely as elaborate and to get better. After the first race, I've gained a steering wheel because the controller has not been easy times.
The criticism by Lolipop man has greatly improved since the patch. When defining its strategy itself is no problem has always embarrassed by the stops.
It is true that you get a lot of penalties, which happened to me so, but only in season 1. After that I had the game mechanics savvy and it is almost not occurred, it is holding a Sim. Racer and there's nothing spotting with vehicle.
For the successor F1 2011 I wish:
- Improved damage model (motor Platzer, losing tires etc.)
- Telemetry data
- Arranged career mode (tükische interview questions that are not clearly and impact on your team and contract offerings from the competition have)
- A video help exactly shows the impact of changes on the chassis setup
- Formation lap and the safety car
- More spectacle (. Eg pre-season influence the development, a pompous presentation of the new vehicles incl Inerviews with seasonal requirements, see testing to where the team stands)
- Better pit radio with more variety (integration of a headset would be great as in Endwar)
Conclusion:
Very good game where the developers could get off to a bang in the successor. The basic principle is right, just buy it !!
