To the music I've been here many opinions read; both negative and positive reviews, but that's a matter of taste and everyone must decide for himself whether he is taking the "risk".
In any case, Jaari has tried with Time I something completely new; I was already convinced, as I listened to the stream's. From me get the album in any case 5 star, but actually I will describe the LP.
First impression: The disc comes in gatefold. The summit is made really excellent (compared with the last Ensiferum-disc), the edges are double-seamed, so as you would expect from a decent record covers.
The poster is in format A2 (60 x 40 cm portrait format) and ... hold a poster, there's my opinion, not to do anything wrong.
The disc is in translucent blue (as in the picture) and when I have taken out my time, I have realized that in hand it is actually heavier than ordinary LP's. By comparison, normal plates weigh 100 - 125g, 150g rare, so you notice the difference.
On the quality of the pressure, there is hardly anything to complain about. The only thing there is to be noted is that, likely to really bring all the songs on the disc, the grooves were written somewhat closer together, thus the volume is geringfüg quieter, says: I had the plant by about 15% turn up loud to listen to the album.
A word of warning for anyone with old equipment: I use a turntable with direct drive older vintage. Due to the heavy weight of the plate arrived it easy when you play to unsightly distortion even though the rotational speed was controlled at the highest level. But the good part "grabs" this disc is no longer quite so there is a little wobbly sound with a rather interesting alternation of pitch. But is not on the disc but the device.
All in all, I Wintersun Time I on LP for all traditionalists really recommend (despite missing mp3 dowload link). I am very happy with it at all costs.
