Unpacking:
The saw comes in a small plastic box with 3 plastic parts: a guide bracket, a guide and a protection to be close to the blade at the sole (from below, there is a locking groove on the plastic ).
The cord is long enough for me (about 2.50m of thumb).
A blade for basic wood (T144D) is provided, I immediately replaced by a blade "clean for wood" T308B.
The overall look inspires confidence, nevertheless plastics are of average quality, especially the attachments of the guide does not clipped great (it takes a while we saw but little shock can be removed). Protection of the blade is placed by default and can be removed by pressing on the sides.
The storage blade is always good to have but not really practical. The blades overlap in, so if you want one below must remove the 2 top (storage consists of 2 slots 3 blade over which there is a plastic closure that must be open to insert the blade from the top). A shelving system we would have preferred in which one can slide each blade individually.
The blades are not fully surrounded by the plastic but protected in part by the saw base wherein the storage is inserted which makes it is easily covered with sawdust but no risk of breakage. Fixing the storage is done by using the flexibility of the plastic is pressed slightly to enter the storage and when it is released it springs back to lock.
The tilt switch has 3 positions (45 °, 22.5 ° and 0 °) and turns by loosening a screw (screwdriver) and moving the base. Shame to have a blade system with no tool but need to have a screwdriver to change the incline. It should also raise the storage to access the screws. I have not tested this but I think it is necessary to remove the blade guard at the sole trigger for the last position, I fear that the blade is too tilted to pass in the guide of this kind protection.
Include a button for the blower, a trigger, a button for the oscillation of the blade and a speed limiter button.
In use:
The cup is clean, oscillating blade clean with 0 (T308B) is difficult to see that the board has been cut.
The fan works well but only at high blade speed, we would love it to be more powerful at low revs.
My vacuum cleaner (a very old green magic miele 2000) does not fit on the back of the saw, it lacks gender 1/2 mm for it to pass.
The vibrations are of very low intensity, we feel them but it is comparable to a phone vibrator and therefore in no way affects the cut.
The guide is handy, though a fine cutting blade must watch, the guide went out of the board before the blade about 8-10cm. Having a good blade guard allows placing the guide exactly safe to cut (if not havait blade hides one would have to keep both hands on the handle provided for that stabilizes the drill with one hand and a horizontally positioned vertically.). Nevertheless, one can place it correctly with both hands on the handle of the saw.
So I removed one star mainly for vacuum cleaner and quality of fixing the guide. A lamp or a laser have been also useful. A system with a straight cutting rail would have been nice also (like black and decker) and an angle change system without tool would have been useful (a hand screw or a pin for example).
