I will not describe the features that can be found on the website QNAP but give you my opinion:
Loaded with 2x2GB (WD RED) and configured as RAID 1, the unit is extremely quiet, the fan adjusting its speed NAS temperature.
Without going into detail Apps (for there are many and again everything is described on the website QNAP) basic apps are well thought out, and ergonomic, you can activate / deactivate the demand is very convenient.
Android Applications (QFile, Qvidéo, Qphoto) are simple but effective.
To return to the TS-220, I love the level of finesse that one can attain in the setting. It's just great for a computer, which with this toy a bit like being at work, and will probably take pleasure in spending hours scouring everything and set his hand ...
No worries though for the neophyte who will be guided and will use the suggested options.
One note: If you are like me a lot of photos (and videos), duration increased to create thumbnails may be long once you have loaded all your files, but leave the NAS to work, it switches to standby while alone. FYI, it took about 24 hours at in my case. Do not worry, it is only at IPL, then in normal use, with the addition of a hundred photos, for example, is completely transparent.
-I Set the sleep mode of 5 ', which is perfect for me.
-The Actual consumption with 2HDD is 15W average running, 7W standby and 0.5W stopped.
No negative points after 2 months of use.
