Hello There, I was looking for a new compact camera for me as my old (a Canon Powershot) but already now several years under his belt. At first I had a Canon again in mind, as Canon (in my opinion) the best providers in this area counts. Locally, however, the Panasonic me caught my "Make-Up Mode", as they say, on. I was immediately approached at first glance, the optics, which definitely is a decisive criterion for me. In addition, it is very slim, light and handy. The ability to choose between 14 or lower MP pixel sizes is very convenient. (Eg if you already know that certain images are not ordered in poster-size.) The 28mm wide angle are with me (at least intended) not very often been used, but the camera has an impressive macro mode. Very small details, such. As dew on blades of grass, could not take especially great my old 4-MP. The pictures with the new camera, however, become really super nice. The mode "Portrait" blurs the background and focuses on foreground. However, this mode is not only suitable for portraits, but also achieves with objects (directly in front of the lens) in front of a more distant landscape a great effect. I have to say that this camera is definitely also an affordable alternative to a SLR (in the case of course for amateur photographers). Different lighting conditions can be changed with different modes (such as sun, cloudy, tungsten), so beautiful, natural colors are out the result. (Important: Set either automatic or select the correct mode, otherwise get the images partly strong color casts, which can make poorly reversed at the computer!) The color of the camera housing is nice out, though a bit darker than expected. (In the photos it looks brighter!) Another tip: The same camera in pink corresponds in reality exactly the pictures on the internet.
All in all: I am absolutely satisfied, both with the same price range as well as with the camera itself! Would she definitely recommend!
