Very good, pretty TV, unfortunately excessive perspective

I am durchauszufrieden with purchased on Amazon 40UB800V LG LCD TV. But I have found conflicting information about whether in fact an IPS panel is installed or not. From the point of view in practice I would suggest that - contrary to the manufacturer's instructions! - Should not be a IPS. Optimally, the picture is really only directly in front of TV, most for 2 people. Since it is but with short distances already "tight", the contrast and black level falls soon recognizable from. One sees well by very oblique yet the image, but it looks just typical LCD then never more beautiful and real. Meanwhile, you have to be aware of if you take this device. Otherwise, quasi in the "sweet spot" the image corresponding HD material is provided, quite absolutely ok. Very good contrast, excellent black levels, more than adequate resolution. Therefore, there really nothing to complain about.

By the operator produces the device is intuitive, thanks to genial, enclosed Magic Remote. Even Internet, Youtube, etc. is so intuitive and easy to use - well done! But an exception is clearly the program list !! So who is this, insebsondere panning and continuous numbering has come ...? The stations are all numbered transponder standard fix. Now if you do the desired station in the favorites list (hard enough), then these numbers are retained?!? Although the sequence fits, but not 1,2,3, xxx, but 13, 567, 1476 etc. - not exactly intuitive. If the list is set up times, the service is pleasant but again. There are, however, as well as the angle of view, deductions!

Finally, I must of course mention that 4K actually currently nothing brings ;-) I have not a single source that would provide such a resolution! And that will probably stay that way for a while. So you should consider whether you should not take a "normal" full HD TV itself. On the other hand, the price is (I have 499, - paid) currently mE more than fair and therefore is 4K stop just so with this ...

One more thing: I was the appearance of the device a decisive influence with the purchase because the device looked simply chic and classy with a delicate, white housing. That has absolutely confirmed in reality. Everything is processed valent, the housing just as big / small, as it is technically necessary. Such a delicate, pretty border around picture I've seen in any anderern TV !! Looks something like this as part of my iPhone 5c ;-) The entire device weighs about 9kg and can therefore be easily attached to your wall bracket (to have a Vogel`s 2245W taken to ~ 115 Euro). Thus one has a pretty, petite TV on the wall, yet provides the maximum big, beautiful picture. My TV is in the bedroom, as it was also important to me that no such a huge black block the room spoiled - achieved> goal !!

Conclusion: Good price, good image, all GNTB hip functions including SmartTV etc., after setting up all easy to operate, excellent restrained pretty Optics -> TOP.! There are departures for the miserable perspective and the incomprehensible stupid channel lists! Therefore earned 4 out of 5 points.
