It took me about 1 hour for installation, but which mainly is due to the pure illustrated manual. A few words of explanation would be useful, for example, shows the guide strips which serve only as spacers for sticking the antenna tape, here I have a little puzzled until I understood that this is just only to installation aids is just to stick. Otherwise, the installation becomes quite easy.
I have chosen as the installation the right top corner of the windscreen of my VW T3.
Stick 1. Amplifier plate
2. stick antenna wires and connect to the amplifier plate, this should be used according to instructions, the already mentioned distance tape and pasted at the regular interval on the disc. But I can not stand for imperative who can has reasonably good judgment also free the stick about 50 cm long strips with the antenna wires hand.
3. Mount Amplifier
4. Connect the ground cable to the body
5. Lay antenna and cable for Plus Radio
6. Connect the positive cable with a current-carrying cable of the radio supply
7. Insert the aerial plug

When connecting the ground cable, make sure that real contact with the body of the vehicle is, otherwise current can not flow to the amplifier and this therefore does not increase! Here it is advisable to connect the ground wire with a (if any) multimeter to check the continuity between the amplifier ground wire and other conductive point of the body (for example, a galvanized screw head in the door hinges).
Bad reviews here on Amazon are not explainable to me and must be kept in my opinion only on faulty installation back. The antenna works for me really super!
My conclusion in points:
Reception performance: 5/5 (see above)
Built-4/5 (only the manual is the problem)
Price 4/5 (there are cheaper, but the price is reasonable)
Optics: 5/5 (luckily the blue LED can be switched off, then the amplifier is quite unobtrusive)
