The three core elements are out to listen the whole plate over and offer to not quite 35 minutes consistently material unscrew the head.
What, just 35 minutes? Jep who also go by in a flash and also still provide no lengths.
I think this is also a positive step, since the songs are less wide-ranging than its predecessor (in musical terms).
Threatened with Cavalera Soulfly - Omen musical stagnation (this record was in almost the same waters as the road Inflikted), so Max has yet drawn on this album a halfway clear hyphen. Whether that was intended, will be shown at the next Soulfly release.
On the one en Siete time the uptempo outweigh songs with mid tempo passages, on the other hand there are songs like Killing Inside (the weakest song on the album) and the title track on the go more mid-paced. When Lynch Mob Marc Rizzo also has a longer vocal performance, which is highly classified in the Old School Hardcore.
Interesting on this album is mainly the fact that the riffs are indeed still quite primitive, but on the other hand, many very thrashy Rhythm-stop techniques are used. As Mr. Cavalera have to see that he can clean this runterdüdeln with Rizzo or finally brings a capable second guitarist in the band and only decorates the singer items.
Wen disturb the short playing time and less variations become absolutely not at all, may be happy up expect a star.
In my view, a very fine plate holding time what it promises: hard-hitting "straight forward" - Kost.
4/5 Stars | 7/10 Points
The supplementary DVD is not included in the rating. This provides the unabridged, very interesting video Sanctuary and a complete concert in France. (The latter is unfortunately quite clear what a bad guitarist Max Cavalera. Luckily, he is, as with any concert, heavy mixed into the background).
