In principle, the Panasonic HX550 is a good headset. The sound is clean and well-balanced, warm and voluminous. The earcups have a double joint and incredibly comfortable to sit on the ears, as well as I had not in any headphones. The cable runs only on one side, and a nice touch. Two drawbacks are there: the arm part is made of plastic and disdainful looks a bit cheap in Black. As a silicone cushion part is installed, which is not really supported and is rather uncomfortable, at least for long hair, fabric would prefer me since. The padding on the ears are not made of cloth but also any plastic, after an hour I had sweaty ears.
Conclusion: sound great, but the rest is still in need of improvement. 4 stars.
Addendum: My brother used the HX550 now for a week and absolutely loved it. The sound is better than his old Sony headphones same price class and the comfort is great for him. From his side, there is a definite recommendation.
