Very impressive .. but also some minuses

As a little preface:
I play WoW for 6 years and have many other MMO's angetestet: Aion, Age of Conan, HDRO, Warhammer, SWTOR ...
None other than WoW was able to far longer than 1-2 months at the bar keep .. but this is likely to change now.

Guild Wars 2 makes it very much just right.
The game teeming with innovative ideas.

Combat system:
It is for a long time in a game of this kind again on "skill" at .. and I am very pleased.
While one is being too heavily scaled in other MMO's with the Equip and hardly required by the Movement, it is in GW2 but strongly the opposite.
Certainly good is a good Equip course in GW 2 which, however, needs to be flexible during the fighting to be .. .. dodge weapon sets and switch tactics rethink well as not yet to be at once the dust ^^ .. especially as material support; -)
With the skill points, which you get, you can make and align his character individually ... precisely in the direction and with the options you want.

Graphics:
I find them beautiful and catch myself often doing that I stay just stand on the spot and look at my area.
The only thing I have to criticize is the "effect storms" when speaking to other players makes 20-30 times a group quest .... the overview you can then quickly lose if the magician begin to channel their hail of fire and everything lights up and flashes .. but in spite of everything, even that looks terrific.

Quest System:
It has its own quest line, it orients itself after what storylines you have chosen during character creation. But this spoiler I do not .. they make at this point a lot of fun and that everyone should see for yourself and experience :)
All other quests have also been developed with great attention to detail.
Certainly there is much from Kill .. collection .. and accompanying quests .. but these are incredibly loving and been set with many possibilities in scene and a feeling of boredom not really get by on ...

Community:
In the beta, and so far the community was very friendly to each other and to questions in the chat will be answered friendly .. it is thanked etc .. There is a nice tone.
Certainly this is occasionally marred by idiots who probably had a few beers too much .. but it is rare that someone is flamed for his questions, and make the game very harmonious .. I hope it will remain so.

Balancing - PVP and PVE:
Rarely have I experienced it that there is a such a good balancing at release.
The classes complement each other well with each other.
There are also classes that here a little easier can be played than others ... but I see little disadvantage of a class.
The PVE content currently consists of 8 Dungeons and will probably be expanded ....
Raids, as we know it from WoW, there are as such not ... the game is, as of 1 part, heavily oriented towards PvP .. what there still is remains to be seen ^^

UPDATE: I have to deduct unfortunately 1 star.
The bland flavor at all, the Head Start, which unfortunately does not quite round. One can not log in for hours and 5 German servers are full since today (28/08/12) all.
In addition, the PvP .. Well how can I say it .. each player there has the same values ​​.. I guess some will be able to do something with it .... but you will not be rewarded by better equipment / weapons etc .. and I personally find very unmotivierend.
That you can get involved at level 1 already in PvP makes leveling much uninteressnter for me. Sure .. the game world is great and everything .. but the motivation to be 80 for me was to finally come up quickly to be able to enjoy all the benefits of PVP's .. but is not so necessary ... Schade
Massive lag by now three weeks to make the game unplayable.
