Here, developments are presented 1-1, in 2 pages each (one page of text and images Page 1) at 100 ideas or innovations. We can also emphasize that it is not just the technological changes that are presented, but also developments that might seem more anecdotal, who only rely on the initiative of filmmakers and not on technical progress - but whose impact was considerable (eg the transition to feature film).
The whole is enjoyable to read, we traverse it in the order we wish, we learn many things, and numerous illustrations help to make the link with the movies that we know.
One regret, perhaps (but not enough to lose a star): the cover of this book is pretty big and flexible, perhaps a hardcover would have been more appropriate. But that's a detail ...
