A book that is a collection written during wartime, by an author who has an impressive curriculum (MP, university, and especially the President of the General Confederation of French Employers (CGPF) the ancestor of the MEDEF, 1936-1940 at the time of the Popular Front). It was therefore particularly well placed to analyze the crisis that capitalism experienced in the first part of the 20th century, especially during the terrible 1930s, to draw lessons. A very interesting book to better understand the economic history of the past century, in France and abroad, with major developments such as the rise of the state and socialism, written by a leading actor and despite his personal convictions knows remain impartial.
