About a year ago my wife and I use very pleased the scales BF800, which can be wonderfully synchronize with our iPhones and iPads via BTLE. Therefore, in me grew the desire and the BM58 to the model BM85 exchange. Since yesterday I have the equipment here and now can not quite understand the sometimes negative reviews regarding the BT synchronization. For me it has in any case manager works with the iPad Air 2 and the software installed on Health immediately.
But beware: During the data transfer via BTLE is triggered when the BF800 of iPad, the reverse is true when BM85. Say, it is not enough, the Health Manager to start and maintain a data synchronization. You have the BM85 additionally the M1 or M2 button press to enter the corresponding memory. Thereafter, the data are, however, immediately in Health Manager under the tab "blood pressure" visible. Of course you have previously in Setup (main button for 5 seconds) BT enabled. But that's really all quite well described in the manual.
The BM85 does, as already mentioned, a very high-quality impression. The cuff fits well and can be adjusted over a wide range. A bit annoying is that the material insert for the velcro on the outer edge is quite fiddly to guide you through the metal bracket. This is solved better at the cuff of the BM58. Were they but times durchgefummelt, also quite thin arms can be measured. The unit is very quiet and inflates the cuff quickly. The measurement is very fast visible. Very helpful I feel next to the WHO classification, which allows an immediate overview of the measurement result, the frontal resting indicator display.
The device provides two users with the ability to capture and save your data. In contrast to the scales BF800 offers the users leave but unfortunately no abbreviations assign. So one has to remember who is user 1 and user 2 who.
In the operation, the BM85 differs only slightly from the BM58. Therefore, the change was not a problem. An advantage is the integration of a lithium-ion battery. The corresponding USB Charger (USB socket is also used simultaneously for data transfer to a PC) is included. I'm curious how long a battery charge.
The Health Manager app I use - as mentioned - for some time in connection with the BF800. I find the software on iOS very well done, but would like to see that they can be synchronized with the future of iOS health app. In addition, I think it would be nice if you could view the graphs for a longer period.
All in all I am very satisfied with the purchase of the BM85, even if something has to get used with respect to the BT data transfer to iPad or iPhone over the BF800.
