After last year many cameras Sony, Nikon and had got rid of again, just as lenses, I now have my equipment together completely. Loss was limited.
My equipment:
Nikon D300; Nikkor VR 3.5-5.6 / 16-85; Nikkor 3.5-5.6 / 70-300; Sigma EX 2.8 / 50-150; Flash SB 800; Handle MB10
Now the Sigma:
Did the lens since 4 weeks, the II version
tested as always at a wedding; Hagenbeck Zoo; Landscape; Portrait
+ With 700gr quite heavy lens in extremely sturdy design,
+ Nothing rattles, all very handy thanks to wide zoom and aperture ring
+ Very fast HSM drive, well audible, but not loud
+ 50-150 is an ideal companion for always there (75-225 mm film)
+ 2.8 open aperture Suitable in all areas, negligible vignetting
+ Dream imaging performance at 5.6 - 8
+ Teleconverter Suitable with good to very good image quality (tested with 2.0 Soligor)
+ 1m minimum focusing distance and thus Macro fit
+ Ideal portrait lens with 75mm & 2.8 - 5.6, nice blurred background
+ 150mm excellent for wildlife photography illustration
+ Wedding photos outside very good, inside 50mm are too big (in addition to inside I use the Nikkor VR 16-85)
+ Landscape photography in conjunction with the 2.0Telekonverter very detailed visualization, 50 - 150mm but also here a very good value
+ Supplied lens hood, lens case
- Very thin filter thread, but holds the filter firmly good
- Lack of stabilizer
