The game:
Everyone gets a set of fixing parts (12 pieces), a lay panel (will be replaced after each round), it is rolled, the dice determines the task that needs to be met (must be thus "built" that part), then the hourglass is turned, you have to try its parts completely and accurately on the map to accommodate when you're done, you call "Ubongo". The first result is a blue stone of the round bar (it will always be 9 rounds played) and may even pull a stone out of the bag. The second gets a brown stone and may also draw. Do it the other players managed in time, may also drag a stone. The stones come in four colors, they have different values. At the end will be added together.
The lay panel has a page with tasks for the 3 fixing parts are needed and a page where you must accommodate 4 fixing parts. We have started with the same 4 parts, only the youngest son played the first round with the 3 side, but he has so good job that he has then selected the heavier side.
The App we did not try, we do not actually (and my smartphone anyway constantly complains about low memory). The quality is, as I know it from the cosmos games, very good. Thick cardboard, bold colors and a clear game instructions-I am always commented on the games with no frills.
Conclusion: I do not know why I never noticed before the game, but now it is one of our favorite games. Who has the old version, does not need this new probably. I can recommend this game definitely. For younger players, ages 5, there is the Junior version with animal motifs, which can be combined with the normal Ubongo. I am also interested the 3D game from 10 years.
