I will always make comparisons to part 1 of this review, so I will put off Borderlands newbies never, but the developers have so many "running gags" and other references to the 1st part with installed that it is actually recommended, to start with the first part.
Although I count many negative points the game gets by me but 5 points, because the overall concept has simply deserves no lesser rating.
Anticipation should be said: I will not write about the history, you should therefore find no spoilers here.
Borderlands 2 brings first with very good improvements:
> Aussehen- (rounded corners, a little more distant camera) slight graphical improvement
- Living design (it looks less rigid, more "high-tech")
Negatives:
- Inventory and skill tree is divided into 2 or 3 windows, between which you have to switch back and forth. Since I took the survey in the 1st part enjoyable, albeit visually not quite as nice.
> Bazillion weapons Positives:
- A new weapon manufacturers "Bandit".
- Rare weapons are rare. If you have quite easily captured in BL1 Blue and partially Lilane pieces, it at BL2 already requires a bit more patience. I personally find very good, because the "weapons-farms" I liked even at Diablo (applicable). But:
Negatives:
- The number of legendary weapons is very limited, I do not know whether here at all which are randomly generated, if so then after a fairly simple principle.
- Alien weapons are now called "E-tech weapons" (Eridium technology), consume twice the ammo and most importantly, they consume ammunition. While the weapons were still in BL1 selbstaufladende Magazine is in BL2 with the continuous fire over. E-tech weapons are there for all elementary effects.
- 2 arms manufacturers are missing: "Atlas" and "S & S ammunition" were removed (it was "Bandit" to).
- In BL1 they met more weapons with "special" properties of such munitions to regeneration, there is in BL2 even yet but you can enumerate the number here on one hand. The randomly generated weapons also differ not as strong as with BL1, characterized the weapons were also some "fair".
- Particularly strong weapons consume more ammunition (usually 2-4 rounds per shot ..). While the ammunition is still very well distributed in the game but is especially in the endgame bosses farms a common ammunition (if you do not play the Gunzerker).
> Bazillion fun Humour is the 2nd part ... not so much better (and no worse), but you will be spoiled even during each small secondary mission with funny comments. So one has usually done to get a good weapon / shield etc. sidequests in BL1, they are recommended here only because of the entertainment value very. I also think that almost everything is set to music, in BL1 more even read was indeed called for.
Negatives:
- Nothing :)
> Equipment- There are new ideas such as shields lose Booster (which then recharge the shield), shields absorb ammunition (which you take by% chance no harm + absorbed ball gets even placed into your inventory) or eg great improvements (artifacts) the instance. increasing the prey-chance or enhance a particular type of weapon.
- Instant Medi ampoules always heal by 25%.
Negatives:
- There is no Medi Kits more. Only immediate Medi ampoules.
- There is no Klassenmods with ammo regeneration more.
> Bosse- Pretty much everything: there really bosses where you have a lot of tactics, the "big" bosses have a permanent life indicator on the top of the screen, In solo mode, you will be in some cases very demanded bosses can as often placed (farmed) are and are always references to former bosses of the 1st part.
Negatives:
- Some bosses can be "tricked" by small bugs / tricks and are thereby easy. What course times can be helpful when you are not progressing.
> Echo There are very many recorded audio messages in the game who usually provide everything any gags. This maintains a playing very. But:
Negatives:
- The chance that one is sometimes missed one of Audiologs naturally quite high. Stupid that you can not play it again .. It was definitely BL1 solved better.
> All in Allem- Chic Design
- Sammelwahn is more required
- "Bandit" as new weapons manufacturer
- Maintains Grandioser Humor the one in almost every mission
- New Equipment
- Great bosses!
- No "empty moments" in the game.
Negatives:
- Inventory / skill tree a little confusing
- Limited number Legendary Weapons
- Atlas and S & S-munitions there is no longer
- Strong weapons consume more ammunition
- No medikits
- No storage of Audiologs.
The Game of the Year Edition delivers an incredible amount: The game, all "large" addons, a few small enhancements, the two additional characters and much more.
But it should also be said: The GOTY not has it all: The Headhunter packs are missing, some character-specific designs also. But I can live with.
5 Star gets Borderlands 2 from me because it still compared to other games so much is real where others fail. The negative points arise here than in the 1st part, which can of course be bit on nostalgia factor. But a total of Borderlands 2 is the perfect blend of action RPG and FPS makes animal fun and knows how to entertain a very long time.
