Very strong, very political album, definitely check it out!

The "First Base" shows on her new album a lyrical depth that is rarely to be found in the German music scene. Updated daily are treated ("stupidity to power") issues such as the economic crisis ("Eloise & the Crisis"), the shift to the right by Strache in Austria ("tolerance") or equal to the social failure. The intelligent narrative structure lifts the songs on a universal basis, which (probably) makes them even ten years from now traceable and audible.
In addition to the "typical" EAV songs ("New Heroes", "hypochondriac", "Please beer"), there's musical (for EAV relatively new) trips to the Swing, Hard Rock and African ethnic soundscapes.
Conclusion: A very political, distinct work of a band that had in the meantime lost in her long career, something the orientation, but now can back admirably to point out the failings of the present time. Very strong album, definitely listen!
