Very successful! 11

We already knew Skylar Grey with his vocal participations on several tracks of other artists (the famous "Coming Home" in 2010 and "I Need a Doctor" and "Room For Happiness" in 2011, the best known) and they wrote songs for other artists (such as "Love the Way You Lie" sung by Rihanna and Eminem in 2011). Skylar Grey was actually already in the world of music before that, since she released her first album in 2006 under his real name, Holly Brook. I confess to never having heard this album, so I can not judge her work before she took the pseudonym Skylar Grey.

I came across the first and most famous vocal participations of this artist really by chance, because I'm not a fan of rap and RnB scene. Therefore listening tracks like "Coming Home" and "I Need a Doctor", although I'm not a fan of this style of music, I was immediately hooked to the voice of this singer and words she wrote. I bought this "Do not Look Down" and I find it generally very good. A small flat for the non-fan of rap that I am: the album opens with a very good title (Back From The Dead) where Skylar enchants me again, and then bam, a rapper spoils my pleasure. I'm not anti-rap. But on some songs I just do not understand the interest of those parties where I feel we just wanted to put a passage with no valid reason artistic rapper.

The album continues with other excellent titles (but rapper this time) as "Final Warning", "Wear Me Out," "Religion," "Tower (Do not Look Down)" My ... Bookmark Back From The Dead (yes, despite the passage of rapper bothers me with each listen, I love this song anyway). Other securities are generally good, and almost all the songs found in the signing of Skylar Grey at the words which I greatly appreciate. Other titles are probably great for fans of RnB, but I like less, as the duo with Eminem to similar words in so many other albums of the rap scene / hip-hop / RnB in general and m ' bored deeply.

Remember me reading this is critical of a person who is NOT a fan of this style of music ... and that therefore the fact that I bought and globally loved this album proves talent Skylar Grey. 4 stars without hesitation. For everyone not very fond of this music scene, I suggest you check it a look (or rather ear), it is worth it. I find myself looking forward to a new album and hope it will be at least the same level, especially on the words that are very important to me (hence my opinion mixed despite my rating of 4 stars). For fans of this music scene, buy this album without hesitation, you will love it.
