Virtually unplayable on Xbox 360

There have been made several changes that make the game significantly beginner-friendly. Detailed statistics have been removed, the limited design options in the form of various parks and statues. Overall, it has lost much of its Wuselfaktor, but this is actually only marginally decisive for my vote.

It is after all still Tropico. There are interesting new buildings and production chains, a total of many problems of the predecessor are ironed out. It is his goods going frequently, there are trade agreements that bring a new level in the game, interesting epochs that represent a logical continuation of the timeline in Tropico 4. Militarily lot has been revised, there are, for example armor into play. The nuclear program is not entirely safe more, but you can exist well with punchy military invasions against the superpowers.

All in all, despite the simplification still a nice game. Up here I would have given the game a 4 star, possibly. 5
So why only 2?
The problem is the platform. Although the graphics (slightly) was pimped, did not want to give up the money the Xbox 360 owners. The game will cost even more than the PC version. For me, unforgivable for one reason:
The population limit is in this version of 1000. These are of course not all workers, you have a few years occupied solely by children and pensioners about 300-400 places. Great leaps are no longer possible. The campaign is not playable without further ado, if you do not choose from the outset a minimum structure, which makes the game very boring. Since one time several missions to its initial Islands mastered (which in itself is very nice and long overdue), a targeted games is hardly possible. Inevitably you build for example tourism and large productions on a single island, plus building on research that supply the inhabitants ...
If you will finish the campaign, you have to tear down a lot and give up trying new building.

To me this destroys the incentive to sandbox games - too much you can with just 1,000 inhabitants also because not tear. One can safely elsewhere over the very rudimentary and flawed multiplayer enough read.

For this platform, this game is an absolute no-go. After 10 hours of play is final for me. I am extremely disappointed and can only advise the purchase. Then rather resort to the already favorable PC version, if the local computer, the performance standard allows.
