The demonstration effect may be impressive when the handprint appears on the foam and signaled softness. But that is the nonsense of the viscoelastic pads: Even a person with only 60 kg decreases so strong that not only the old, to hard surface remains noticeable, but also results in insomnia and tension. Such a bad night we had never! The better and cheaper alternative is cold foam that cushions pleasant, but this is dimensionally stable and not too soft. A convenient 5 cm foam pad has bolstered the old mattress immediately.
