WARNING: HDD destroyed

This adapter I have been for about three years and it works as promised. Whether 3.5 "IDE, 2.5" IDE or any SATA devices, everything from hard disk to CD drive can thus be connected to the PC easily without additional drivers. The transmission rate is within the normal range, ie comparable with the usual external USB hard drives.

Now, however, a really big drawback: The power supply is simply a bad design. I had been around for some drives that will not anliefen to the power supply. Here, the power supply is ticking treacherous. You can circumvent the problem then, by. A Y adapter with an additional load dranhängt Not pretty, but so far that was acceptable to me.
Recently I had such a case again, only that the hard drive smoke signals gave after a few seconds of itself and now is defective. The plate was absolutely fine, the fault lies with the inferior power supply. On top of that I often have problems with transient currents between the power supply GND and PE.
A quick research of comparable adapters showed that this power supply or a bauähnliches obviously is often in the appropriate adapters and even other users have so destroyed their hard drives.
