Kept short: At the Dell XPS 13, this adapter does not work! This is because the adapter is passive and not active, ie it lacks a chip in the adapter, which performs the walling, since my laptop apparently does not have. External monitors are not detected so.

My recommendation therefore: Checks if your device already has a Umwandungls chip or not. If none exists, it needs an * active * Adapter. I have ordered such, and functioning properly.
