On the Radeon HD 6790 can only activate two connections of the three terminals (2xDVI and 1xHDMI). What connections does not matter, but only two.

If you want to connect a third monitor to extend the desktop, the Game ports must be brought into play. This requires an active adapter like this.

Then it works well with the third monitor.
