The one star there for the 20th Anniversary Remaster. Since Nirvana was one of my favorite bands times, I wanted to treat myself to the 20th Anniversary Remaster, as it should have a better sound. Many older CDs you can immediately hear the sound better if you both times in succession in the player. That was here already times not, despite high-quality hi-fi system (L90 JVC, NAD C 316BEE, 2 x Sony BDP-S350). So the 1993 version in a player, the connected 2013 Remaster in the second player and the amplifier back and forth. What? That can not be! I really had to look again to the CD! The remaster sounds more dull and especially the voice of Cobain sounds busy and dull compared to the original. I almost did not believe so swapped the two CDs, the same game again and the remaster sounds bad.
The remaster sounds worse than the original from 1993, who has since claimed it would be the other way around? The Remaster is a rip-off, greed and not the sound quality were the motivation, you will bring the older mix!
Those who want to treat something newer "Nirvana", should rather pick up the tribute album from 2000 "Smells Like Nirvana", which contains mostly successful, and snotty punk cover versions, some with singers.
