I fell for a third WD My Passport Essential drive because I am very satisfied with my previous 160GB and 320GB drives.
It runs continuously for a year and a half, I've installed iTunes and my full disco for free up space on my pc.
It is completely silent, not heated and I had no problem with.

This model (500GB) of exposure was sold by 78 AVID Media AV, it is like new and came up quickly and well packaged.

To view comments left on Amazon, many users are disappointed with the new generation of WD My Passport Essential drives when they were satisfied with the old.
This is the old version with the mini USB socket and WD Sync with the software; I did not have unstable connections issue and I removed the WD Sync software easily and the drive becomes a simple use a USB key.

This is a good, reliable, lightweight, that fits in a pocket, easy to use, quiet, not too expensive ... I recommend it without hesitation.
