Because in addition to the day / night image there is also 2-way speakers, a thermometer and a few Dudel melodies. The little things, such as digital zoom, email alert, recording etc but are standard at any Wi-Fi camera.
The installation is a little fiddly at least under Mac and iOS and try the patience. The software does not yet appear mature and angers me that the end customer is degraded to beta testers.
On the other hand, the hardware is really nice and well thought out. Even on small things that would otherwise be out like painted, it was thought. So the power cord is solid 3m long and saves a the otherwise obligatory extension cord.
Contrary to other reviews is call up the image not only in the same Wi-Fi possible, but through the Internet from anywhere. So even the neighbors or the garden etc.
Who the superfluous melodies, the 2-way audio and the thermometer (with idiosyncratic measurement results) is not required, can also take up far more favorable wireless cams.
