The opening track "Letting go" gives a skillful Greetings with its magnificently poignant and thoughtful melodies that Lupe knows how to refine best, but also the class sung chorus should not be disregarded. "Words I Never Said" with Skylar Grey is the latest single release of "Lasers" there. A schorfer Beat, by urging of oblique electric tunes are here to set the tone and Skylar Grey round this track skillfully through a great hook from. Needlz appears responsible for the instrumental of "Till I get there" and thus beat a chill rap bangers onto the dance floor, whose supple piano melodies should be paid much attention. A breeze is faster and rhythmic "I Do not Wanna Care Right Now" in the race and is also quite good to fill the one or the other dance floor. Lupe Flowt like crazy and it makes as always a lot of fun to listen to the gentlemen here. R'n'B singer Trey Sonz is in "Out of My Head" of the party, but you can no longer this song abgewinnen as a fairly solid Hörschauspiel. It continues with the lead single "The Show Goes On", one of the best tracks to be found on "Lasers". The electric guitars and strings give this masterpiece the finishing touches while Mr. Fiasco seems to rap himself in another world, and also the chorus takes over vocals. In similar sense also "Beautiful Lasers" with permanent resident MDMA may classify. Atmospheric the piece is simply a dream and goes right under the skin! Properly nice now comes "Coming Up" rolled on with a beat and smoothen a very very fine piano melody. Lupe and MDMA deliver once more from a fantastic performance and show how super they harmonize together. "State run Radio" rocks meanwhile pretty intense out of the boxes, which is certainly due to the crashing electric guitars and the muffled drums, but also the ideas on the mic by Lupe and his colleague Matt Mahaffey. And if a man engaged in black music from the UK, is likely to have been thrilled at the next song called "Break the Chain". This is based on very Grime style, in his more commercial version and also has UK rapper Sway and the magnificent singer Eric Turner on board. Choruses and most striking strings maintain the very drum-heavy "All Black Everything" on the total playing time alive and preparing for a hopefully furious finale before. This is the listener starts from the song "Never Forget You" into the house. A smooth conclusion of which the soul sings in particular by its beautifully gentle beat, but also a perfectly placed John Legend with a lot of passion out of them, this third studio album "laser" rounds.
In conclusion I will say that Lupe Fiasco also with his third album "Lasers" more than just to be proud. Clear sound like a lot on the plate different than you would expect from Lupe from the past and thus is something more pushed into the mainstream area, but in the end a contemporary mix of many different directions it has succeeded. This album definitely makes appetite for more releases from the rapper from Chicago, and if we may give credence to previous announcement, Part 2 to be released from "Food & Liquor" later this year.
