I bought because of the good reviews.
The impression when you unpack:
- The feet are made of plastic and are easily damaged by the packaging.
- The mechanism is completely dirty (edges, quirks, scratches)
- The backrest seems quite good. Well padded, good seams, only pulls up the leather with the seams together.
- The armrests are good probably nothing. No trace of padding. Feels like gemanteltes in leatherette plastic EHR.
- The seat cushion has good holes and acting otherwise well.
Impression when assemble:
Roles fit well.
Gas spring is good.
Gas spring trim sits when she also does not look good.
Armrests sit well.
Now the mystery: The mechanism allows a ca 2mm wide slit at the back of the seat cushion. This increase in metal later serves as a support for the metal of the back for screwing. At first I thought the metal of the backrest to be pushed into the gap, but that fits impossible. The upshot: One hardly dares to tighten the screws, since one is afraid to pull the thread out of the wood.
Sit around feeling after a day;
- The tilt mechanism seems good. Nix creaks and the adjustment for light or heavy resistance served its purpose perfectly.
- The rest supports ehr the shoulder area. Could be much longer.
- Stable the chair seems to sit. Nix shaking involuntarily.
- The seat padding I already miss. My old chair, 4 years Platt sat (90) feels similarly.
Where is the power, is actually hardly notice padding and at the seam is a bump, which will be seen as disturbing.
Conclusion after the first day: I am considering to send him back again, because I do not think he will survive even a year. Not by the processing or material choice, but only and alone, because I believe that the seat upholstery is a pressing same wooden board.
Once again: I do not compare with 500 chairs or which of NeedforSeat, but in the same price class. As you can expect more.
Let's see what time brings.
