Why still only 3 stars? Well, mainly because of the pin spacing, which costs 1.5 stars: the only measure that is not in the party drawing, is also the one that most clearly off the mark: as the name G4 / GU4 base suggests, the pins should be in distance of 4mm are, they do not do - there are 5.08mm, because standard products has been used with 2.54mm grid! Clear that goes somehow with a little turn in, but nice is not it!
In contrast, the variation in the total length by 1mm (real 38-38,2mm place specified 37mm) is negligible - at least in my case.
The last 1/2 stars will cost saving two diodes, which results in the lights the lamp in only one orientation. So we fitted 10 spotlight with these lights, then remain statistically first 5 dark and the light must be turned! Of course, even that is not the end, but at least a clue somewhere would not be bad that you can not mistakenly believes in a defect.
Positives:
* Pleasantly warm light
* Around halfway uniform emission
* High light output with measured 1.1W (high efficiency)
Negatives:
* Pins are not in the right frame (5 mm instead of 4 mm -> 25% deviation!)
* Lights polarity sensitive and must be rotated if necessary, if it is not lit.
* Lights a little greater than described
For comparison I have an image in the customer images normal halogen bulbs yet uploaded next to it, so you can imagine it better.
On the whole, I'm still happy with the lights and would buy it again. It is important, I think that you know the "rough edges" of the product before buying and can decide for yourself whether you are willing to accept that. I can live with that. And You?
