I'm not really a outspoken lover of folk music / folk songs (and certainly not by the dreadful, false folk Musikantenstadl music), also not of good Alpine folk music (even though I'm a "greenhouse" of the area) and possesses accordingly not a single CD in this genre. The only exceptions are the two CDs "Trad" and "Trad II" by Hubert von Goisern. And after the "I Trad" I've found that I suddenly am happy if I have one of the pieces that I know of this CD of HvG (and the live concerts), by chance on the radio hear ... Suddenly I relate to Alpine folk music, which was previously virtually non-existent and certainly would not Hubert von Goisern also did not arise. (I suspect that exactly was intended by him.) The reason that this could happen, this is completely unverschörkelte, pure, not at all sweet and just very honest way of singing and music. The music of this Hubert von Goisern - whether of these two CDs or from the many other albums of his own compositions, which again are quite different in nature - doing ear and soul just good, fun and downright happy!
