Csn (CD)

Customer Review

What a wonderful album that 1977 CSN! The folk-rock trio, then separated, had no recorded albums together for 6 years. He reformed for the occasion and for the first time, because there will, in the course of their careers in common, other deaths and separations time, followed by as many returns. Stills had Manassas, Crosby and Nash had embarked on personal projects with varying degrees of success. CSN is, and only the second LP from this training three mythical. But what an album! A little gem, do not mince words. CSN is packed with wonderful songs for a disc of great musical quality. The acoustic and electric mixture is tasty. This really a marvel of LP folk-rock in which each goes of his scot. Crosby goes there of his compositions: Shadow Captain (co-signing with Craig Doerge), the title of start of the album, Anything At All and In My Dreams. Stills gives us his beautiful Dark Star, Fair Game, the superb acoustics as what See The Changes, Run From tears and the final piece I Give You Give Blind. Nash is not standing still and brings a sublime building block CSN with Cathedral (a title that I consider one of the greatest ever heard) Carried Away, Cold Rain and enormous Just A Song Before I Go. Gentle, quiet, vocal harmonies unlike any other, hushed folk atmosphere, variety ... undoubtedly this disc, enhanced by the presence of a prestigious line-up is to be counted among the best productions of the time. It is their latest masterpiece aeuvre, one must the know.
