The writing is decent, it reads easily and find a character in Jane Austen's always fun. The story is set some years after the end of Pride and Prejudice (do not expect to find all the characters in the book, but Elizabeth made a quick appearance). Charlotte Collins is a widow and it follows what happens to him as well as his sister Maria. There are good passages, the atmosphere of the time is pretty well made but I stayed a little on my hunger, the characters deserved to be more thorough. Finally, a most interesting book that "Mr Darcy log" or "log Colonel Brandon" because it develops a true story and not just a (bad) remix of pride and prejudice. It helps to have a good read but does not leave a lasting memory.
