What is this family?

The grandmother, Malou (unnatural mother of Frederick, father of her three small children) who will discover a heart, the "step-grandfather" we Robert -who made his midlife crisis and very Delay- three grandchildren:
- Clothilde, anorexic, gifted, somewhat offset, or even crazy,
- Clarisse, a normal child-if - which, without being an active character in the novel, observes and describes the events,
