As has been already written a lot about this office swivel chair, I will limit myself to a summary of the most important in my view questions.
1. Delivery and assembly
The chair will be disassembled and delivered very well packed in a sturdy box. In addition to the included tool you need a few medium-sized Phillips screwdriver, rubber mallet - and a Torx screwdriver (or Torx bit) T20. Why? Read it for yourself:
There are three sides with illustrated instructions, from which it is clear the order of assembly and the position of the items delivered.
The bigger problem during assembly arises - as described here several times, - the cultivation of Rückenlehn console. This is of a very hard plastic and has two lateral holes. After adjusting to the counterpart to the chair these holes should aligned with the threaded holes in the chair, so you can push through and tighten the screws. They do so but unfortunately not in themselves and this was - as you can read, - already often reason for massive discontent and even returns. In my chair the problem occurred also in massively!
At this point, know the experienced handyman that he is not the screws may reindrehen wrong with the strength of despair shall strike (at a pinch with the cordless screwdriver), but with gentle force and a rubber mallet, the molding on the counterpart, to the side holes flush! Presumably, this is even so willed, since a tight fit of the part is better for later loading. So - do not despair - and would rather reschedule a couple of times, until the part is properly seated!
Another reason for frustration or anger then the 8 enclosed mounting bolts for the armrests. These are supposed to have an internal hexagon and be tightened with the supplied mini hex wrench. Too bad that in some (including me) 3 of these screws were provided with a Torx-head. Because good advice is scarce (in the truest sense of the word) and simply omit possible since the two consoles are hold with only 5 screws. Who wants to be perfect, but that requires a Torx Dreher (maybe next time at Aldi a bit set with turner for 5,95 buy).
The rest of the assembly is simple and Frustfrei).
2. Use
The chair is ideal for very large people from 1.90! The headrest and the lumbar support in the lower back can be very far adjusted in height, so that person of 1,65m to 2,00m can optimally sit on it (I've tried). The same goes for the height adjustment of the armrests It is therefore always possible to hang up his arms and so relieve the shoulders (especially when working on the computer)!
The armrest can incidentally also be mounted in two different positions of width, so that differences also here taken into account in the physique.
The headrest is attached so that you can lean on the well head when wide recline. For a small napping in between absolutely fantastic and from my point of view a unique feature of this chair. I have a lot of office swivel chairs experienced in the thousands, where the headrest was present but completely inoperable, because it was positioned too low or too far back (eg Steelcase, Wagner, BMA, ...)
3. Materials, appearance
Last but not least, making her the chair? The visible materials are very hard plastic, even the turnstile! Only very few parts, such as the compression spring, are made of metal. All very good and free of burrs processed. The mesh fabric on the back and on the seat is strapazierähig and easy to clean. However, the chair radiates with this material mix any significance, let alone high quality, out. Construction, design and material are clearly optimized for functionality, the avant-garde acting Silhouette also fulfills its purpose only.
Price is the chair with nearly 300 so my opinion well paid (in einschhlägigen office trade it costs more than 400!), Where you have to be aware that you need for a significantly higher quality chair with similarly good Ergonomics and (eg Steelcase Please) 700 must lie down. On the other hand, in the area around 200 a very large number of quite comparable products (Ikea, Amazon, furniture trade), which all have their strengths and weaknesses, but often in the details falter (wiggle example, processing deficiencies, etc.).
