In "The Price of Fear", a killer literally scared to death his victims. He realizes their nightmares. For example, if you have a phobia of water, you may die slowly drowned, if you are afraid of fire ... The killings are particularly cruel and staging is minutely described. Despite the crimes of atrocity, I was seduced by their clever construction that reminded me of "Seven". The horror of suspense involved. This thriller is exceedingly effective and arrive until the outcome almost without regaining his breath.
I have not however been completely packed. If the secondary characters - particularly the victims - are pretty well drawn, I found that the (super) hero Rob Hunter was against a very stereotyped. If the story holds water, advances in the survey rely too systematically on arbitrary elements (Monica visions infallible intuition of Hunter, photographs of evocative power a little excessive for my taste ...). A few grams of extra finesse to unwind this terrifying plot would not have been superfluous.
