After now now 15 hours of play I had to admit it to me: It is insane. But first things first:
Sound / image / Controls:
Unlike Lords of Shadows 1 It is only on 1 DVD, therefore, what has surprised me at first, but on the quality of the game will have no effect.
The background music is pretty much full of atmosphere in every moment of the game and fits perfectly into the always slightly tragic setting and expresses impressively the inner conflict of Dracula. The Sound Effect sounds really amazing realistic and using the voice you will not hear a bad word from me. The speakers, most notably Robert Carlyle, give everything and support the oppressive atmosphere in every cutscene. It is partly really under your skin.
The Xbox needs due to the technical requirements of the game to run a marathon, once the game has started, but the frame rate is not a time to its knees! Liquid and without stuttering, are themselves the most violent and most technically demanding boss battles - which incidentally really going on the post - represented. What still partly caused disillusion the first LOS, you could not find.
The control system is in some respects the same as that of its predecessor, but has been modified in some places and is always well out of hand, in my opinion better than its predecessor. Even in the high degree of difficulty - I commend you from the beginning, because only then you calls the game properly - you can always respond well in the partially really challenging battles.
Graphics / Design:
The graphics - folks, you just have to have seen, otherwise you do not believe it - is simply 1st class. Clear display, high detail levels - anywhere and everywhere - and as already mentioned in stable frame rate. Pays particular attention to the reflective floors, a gamer is doing the heart, so much attention to detail is in it. Every character, every room, every place has its own unique charm. I just geglotzt only stupid in the area partly by fighting, so wonderful the gaming world has succeeded. This game does not leave the technical capabilities of the XBox 360 unused.
Setting: (no spoilers!)
Yes, the Castlevania world, it has changed - and yet again! It may seem strange to you, flow to it with Dracula beside crashed cars and telephone booths. But have faith and let you fall, your confidence will be rewarded and soon the image strengthens. If there can be a greater criticism of this game, so it would be like this. You have to start with a strange feeling in my stomach the game namely only. But a moment will come when all of a sudden, after you will be fully in it again in the Castlevania world, as you know and love have learned. When? Anyway, at the latest, when "He" sums up his shoulder.
Conclusion:
This game is not a consumer product in the true sense, it is a gift - of Castlevania-lovers, for Castlevania lovers. At the present time, in the cheap programmed games off the shelf (keyword: free-to-play) draw gamers coal from his pocket, this game is a proof that there is still another way. The console generation 360 is a worthy final highlight here.
PS: Give you the soundtrack, a 1 A prelude to what awaits you!
