To this is added only unpleasant but not a decisive factor for my poor rating then joined but that in nearly all current BeQuiet power supplies, the coils are poorly built. Underload then begin to whimpering. This is individually different at each power supply, sometimes louder quieter times but almost always present. This must, however at a premium product not happen, especially not when the "silence" is being touted as the main criterion of the whole brand.
This deficiency could be furthermore easily during production and avoid costs when it comes up a few more cents. The fact that these costs are minimal but saved favor effective advertising optics, raises a very bad light on the company's philosophy.
It also does not matter whether a Pure-, a straight- or Dark-power you buy, the architecture is then ostensibly more and more focused on wind noise reduction, but also provided with poorly built coils ... then what use to me PSU, which no longer and thus does not generate wind noise turbulence, but all day the louder whistles to himself?
Surely this about 2kHz sawtooth beeping is annoying for everyone and many assume it was hardly because the remaining components of your computer are much louder. However, I am of the opinion that a brand that is precisely BeQuiet and generated with this name additional income must not hide behind loud Ugebungsgeräuschen but be as promised actually almost silently must - otherwise the fundamental advertising promise was broken, leading to a sharp point deduction leads.
Conclusion: Better but buy a more favorable power supply with a loud fan without fiepende coils, then connect the fan to an external fan controller or directly to 5V and there really is peace. For me BeQuiet is just a good example of clever marketing, not more - And, although I have been long time supporters of the brand.
