Three or four stars? That was the question ... I just bought this record and I must say that the first listen I was not really hooked while wondering if it was not a "slow burn album", and then listening again carefully, it turns out that ideas fuse everywhere, shooting stars such distant but visible ... In fact, the impression emerges that the duo may take away a little of the big beat from the beginning, even if he returns the turning tracks like "Burst Generator" or "We Are The Night", and again, big beat is it coated melodious pads or voices ... Voices that also through this album through and through, giving this aspect vaguely electro-pop that seems to claim the Mancunian duo for several years now. Several tracks show a beautiful creative energy, like "Saturate" and unleashed his battery, "The Salmon Dance" and melody that derail as a disk that does not turn to the right speed, "A Modern Midnight Conversation" and Brazilian carnival percussions, its strange electronic sounds imitating funny désacordées trumpets its bewitching voice and haunting theme. The album is closed by two atmospheric beaches, the latest in the Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev style reminiscent of the end of "Surrender". An album that deserves its four stars after all.
